All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Is your Boat Ready for New England Summer?

Finally spring in New England is here! My kayaks are out of storage and waiting for that first river run. Before you put any boat into the water, here are a couple reminders for you. First, and foremost, check your insurance coverage. Boater's need to at least check on their liability coverage in case of an accident with a fellow boater. If you are concerned with the hull of your watercraft, then make sure you have physical damage coverage as well.

While some boats are automatically covered for liability by a homeowner policy, some are not. No boat has automatic coverage for damage to the hull. If you are looking for a true watercraft policy, which may be the best option, feel free to contact our office. Here at Georgetown Insurance we have some great pricing and a knowledgeable staff.

Now for the actual boat preparation- check out this link with some helpful reminders. Take some time to go over your boat please! Being stranded on the water is no fun, and it can cost money if you need a tow back to shore.

Once you have checked your coverage and gone over that boat, have fun and be safe!
